"Down Easter"

Maine is known as the Down East State, due to being down (wind) and east from Boston. A Down Easter is a person or ship from Maine. As soon as I can find published authority for what I know I will set this article straight. J S Ayer (talk) 01:41, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
